The christening of Ilia took place at the stone church of Prophet Elias located in the scenic village Hotassia in Mani which affords an unlimited view to the Messenian Gulf.
For their little girl’s special occasion, the parents opted for a boho style decoration with meadow flowers and fragrant herbs for the christening favours.
Rosemary, thyme, straws, billy buttons, lavender, sea lavender, lisianthus and eryngo decorated the church in combination with dreamcatchers, pon pon, macrame wall hangings and flower arrangements in natural baskets.
After the ceremony, a party was held at the village’s taverna “Kamara” with homemade lemonade and sour cherry juice, handmade biscuits prepared by the mom as well as other delicious treats, made especially for Ilia’s little friends and guests.
The tables were decorated in a rustic style with round wooden cutouts and jars with bouquets of lavender, straws and fabrics in earthy tones.
May she have a long and happy life!!!
